Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If you come and visit Plovdiv and it rains as it has done in May and begining of June 2012, you shall be prepared with a rain coat or an umbrella. I did not have any but I was very lucky because my friends borrowed one for me.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good shoes, preferably, hiking boots. Streets are cobble stone and there are 7 hills to climb, some of them you will go over sandy or muddy paths. Nebet Tepe is a bit steep and rockey. It can get very hot in summer, since its land climate, get dressed for temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius

Luggage and bags: Best to have one bag that you can carry alot but can carry anywhere with you.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good pair of sneakers in the fall, summer & spring. Pair of boots that you can walk distances with in the winter
Photo Equipment: Digital Camera with a large memory stick. If you have a 5 megapixel camera, a memory stick over 512 mb

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Many bathrooms in Bulgaria do not have toilet paper available and sometimes you have to buy it from a "bathroom attendant", but to be on the safe side bring your own. Other times you might need to use your tissues in stead of napkins, which are not always available at cheap cafes and snack places.
