Many locals, like taxi drivers, will charge tourists a higher price than they charge locals. Still its quite cheap compared to UK prices. Negotiate the price! Inform yourself about prices beforhand.
The price they will tell you for the fist time is FOR SURE at least 2-5 leva higher then it should be :-)
I climbed the peak behind and I can assure you it was a quite touph task, though it is not very high one. check yourself!
Be careful of uninsured taxis they will take you for half the price of taxis but they are uninsured look for there licence plate
Very good cookery and don't expensive.
Never change money on roads! Go to banks or officals exchange offices. Else you may get counterfeit money.
Home made rakia! Be very careful with this stuff. Sometimes it seems to be 100% alcohol with one drop of grape aroma added!
