For those travelling with kids I know how important is for the little ones to find some well known brands so, in Varna you will find both McD and Kfc near the Holly Virgin Cathedral.
Favorite Dish: As for me, I discovered a local delicious salad made from cucumbers,tomatoes and cheese;there is another version with cucumber,tomatoes,cheese and red pepper(X-tra large portions anyway)

Another new restaurant chain in Varna is Florenza.
The food here is cheap but still excellent, try the pizza and pasta menus,
remember to say "smetkata molya" when you want the bill

If you turn left at the end of the main pedestrian street (that goes towards the beach) you will find Timbuktu fish restaurant, it isn't the cheapest on offer but the food is well prepared and perfect after a long bathe in the sun.

The restaurant is situated close to the beach in a very quiet spot. The wooden furniture gives you an archaic ambiance. The stewards there are talking good enaugh english so don't worry about misunderstandings. The menu is in English and German. Generally they have all kinds of meals both international and Bulgarian.
Service is very good, everybody is kind and very careful with you.
Favorite Dish: I recommend to try the Bulgarian Salad that has a very good mixture of flavours and colours. All the vegetables are very fresh and very well arranged. I've also ordered a Vienner Schnitzel that was so big that can feed all Iraqi Army. Be careful to order the the traditional Bulgarian bread.

Lovely interieur:), the menu is lovely as well, but I can't say that it's various...... We've been there 3 times and I can say that I've tried almost everything :D
The basics are: meat in different variations (kebab,pork etc ), vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers in different salads, which were actually the same, but had different names....lol

I know, it's the most EXTRAORDINARY tip I've chosen....lol :D
But the funniest thing is that , everything is written in cyrillic.....and it's not that cyrillic for I see it here in Moscow, but cyrillic in BULGARIAN!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooooooo weird! :D

Waiters and waitresses are "Chandler", "Ross", "Joey" and "Monica with "Rache"...... Weird, isn't it? But I liked the idea! ;-)
Favorite Dish: They make YUMMY pizza there.
One day, my parents and I took 4 big pizzas there and ate them all:)))))))))) The waitress had her jawl on the floor :D

the nicest pizzas in Varna, very big and delicious salads, good service and the most important - CHEAP!!!
Favorite Dish: Godzilla salad is great andyou will love all the pizzas. There is a dessert with jogurt and jam or honey.

Again typical Mehana with real Bulgarian athmosphere, professional service and excellent food. If you come here once, you'll come back for more!
Favorite Dish: They serve every national dishes, try to order something from "skara" - grill, don't forget to order a refreshing salat, also vegetarians can find something for themselves (see my Bulgarian Cuisine travelogue at my Bulgaria page).
