    Drvene igracke

When I saw this wooden toys it brought me back in my childhood. I cannot tell how he loved this toys, wooden cars and in particularly this small guitars called "tamburica". BTW, tamburica is a leading instrument in Croatian folk music.
There is big difference between toys made of plastic and those in wood, unfortunately modern kids cannot learn and know it.

This, what you see on this picture, are the products of Medicar, fine home made cakes which you can eat or have as a souvenirs.

What to buy: "Licitarsko srce" (heart) is a part of a wax or gingerbread craft-making tradition, wax-artists (wax-chandlers) have been putting out beautiful examples of their craft since way back in the 14th century. That fleshy giver of life-blood, the heart, is the design of choice. The time-honoured tradition is a cherished part of the national identity that goes all the way back to the 14th c.
More of this stuff you can see at the Ethnography Museum in Zagreb, Trg Mazuranica 14.
