Rooftop of the wooden houses, in particularly the chimney, is stork's favourite location for snugling. Perhaps it is because early spring nights might be pretty cold and at that time the locals still warming up their houses. On the other hand, it is the highest point of the surrounding area, best position for monitoring the frogs.

Just a few kilometres before the town of Sisak there is a small village called Sela (sela is plural for villages in croatian language). Here you can see one of the most beautiful churches in the central part of Croatia.
The parish church of St. Mary Magdalena is a large one-nave building, built between 1759 and 1765. It is of particular interest because of double bell-tower built in the front facade and the third, small one, located on the rooftop of the church.

Whole this area of Posavina is rich of different bird species, especially in the spring and summer season. The left bank of the river of Sava, with lots of swamps and dead chanels, is the natural reservoir for the bird species. Since there is no bridge around here, the birdwatchers have to take this local ferry in order to reach that resort.

This is the picture of the log chapel which stands at the local cemetery in the village of Brest. There are not much of this kind of chapels left in Croatia. Since it was burned in the fire during the Serbian agression, the locals have rebuilt the same one chapel.
The village of Brest is situated in the close vicinity of the town of Sisak.
