Every region in Europe seems to have there own version of the creme caramel and the Rozata is the croatian one. Its really creamy and absolutly delicious as you can see from my concentration and it is on most of the menus. Try it!! (it would be rude not to)

This bakery is in a lovely square near the leut and dalamation restaurant with tables outside where you can wacth the world go by, we saw a lot of the locals running in for supplies whilst we were there. They do a great sour cherry strudel (only 7kn), the baklava was a massive wedge and the boreks, both meat and cheese are enormous so its best to share (only 15kn). They do the full selection of coffeess also vey reasonably priced and the service is very friendly !!

We had heard about this meat before we went and so decided to try it. Its a lovely smoky flavour and really tasty nicer than a lot of the cured meats on offer, and apparently in some regions its unsmoked, anyway i loved it and it features as a starter on a lot of the menus so try it!

Karlovačko pivo is found almost everywhere in Croatia. I know, I should have put this tip in a "Croatia" page but it was very hot and that was the first we drank arriving from Montenegro. We found it was excellent : light but fruity, with just enough bitterness. A great beer. It was not very different from Nikšičko pivo, found in Montenegro but to compare, we should have tasted them side by side.
