    The walls of Dubrovnik completely encircle the old city, and walking round them, with their battlements and towers to be climbed and explored, is a quite exhilarating experience. There are superb views from them both over the city and over the surrounding scenery and coastline. It took us over 2 hours to make our way right round with numerous stops en-route to enjoy the views.

    A walk around the wall is a must. You see the city from different angles ,the red tiled roofs, the people on the Stradun, the sea, and also just ordinary Dubrovnik residents hanging up their laundry and people sitting in cafes, all from above!

    Absolutly a "must see activity" for me ! You'll do this walk in 1h30 2h and you'll have a wonderful view of the old town, the gardens, the monasteries, etc.. There is an entrance near the old port and one near the big gate. I recommend you to take a hat. But if you are afraid of highs like me, don't worry, the way is large and it should be a too big problem.

    After being on the wall for several hours we came down for some lunch inside the city. After lunch we walked through the city and out what must be the north eastern gate, probably what is known as the Ploce Gate. We were amazed at the strength of the fortifications in this area, the city walls are massive. This section might be known as the Revelin Fort ( I could be corrected on this).

    All around the centre of Dubrovnik goes a big wall .You can climb there and see all Dubrovnik from inside and outside the walls. It's definitely worth seeing. The entrance is 30 kuna (around 4 euro) , for groups 20 and children 10.
