Favorite thing: The Bus company operating here is Autotrans Rijeka. Bus ride from Dubrovnik to Drace takes about 1h 45min, to Vela Luka some 4h 30min. Bus station Ston is the connecting station for all buses in Dubrovnik direction. This station is 45min from Dubrovnik. For timetable please visit www.autotrans.hr.

Ground plan

3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: If you look carefully the ground plan of Korcula, you will notice that streets towards north are straight, and streets towards south curved.
In summer the wind blows from the north and the street are built so that the wind can blow over whole town and cool it down.
In winter, cold wind blows from the other side. And to block it's ''entrance'' into town, streets on that side are curved.

Korcula - bar on a tower

Favorite thing: Korcula is subtle, touches you with caution. Korcula wants to keep it's charm and dignity. She had heard of other proud towns now sunken under tents advertising beer.
Look around, and you will notice welcoming stairway to cocktail bar situated on one of the towers. Another one on the main plateau overlooking the harbor, still showing off ancient canons.
All Venetian lions, all guilds emblems, all their fresh laundry and flowers still honestly presented - for us to see who they are.
