Korcula town is pretty small so that's why it's fun to grab a water taxi and explore either the rest of the Island like Lumbarda or hop to other islands like, Badija and Orebic.

Renaissance building from 17th century is positioned right next to Cathedral. It faces main square with large balcony on it's facade which is considered to be one of the longest balconies in the Mediterranean. It used to be Palace of Bishop of Korcula, as Korcula was the diocesan seat from 1300 to 1828. Inside the building, there is a Treasury collection of various exhibits from Korcula's history including polyptych by Blaz Jurjev Trogiranin from 1431.

Kopnena vrata

In 14th century a thick wall was built around town Korcula to protect it from the attacks of Turks and pirates. There were two entrances to the town. On the southside stands so called Kopnena Vrata (Land Gate) leading through a monumental tower, built at the end of 15th century.

Take a walk around the old city, whose narrow streets are filled with stone buildings. The peninsula's shores are planted with lovely old trees, and many restaurants and cafes are at the water's edge.

Get out of the Old Town to get a great view of it from the beyond the old harbor. If you continue along the pathway that leads around the S.W. side of the harbor, you'll be rewarded with great views of town

If you walk around the Old Town of Korcula, you'll notice it is extremely small. You could walk from one end to the other in less then a minute or two. So, this goes to say that there aren't too many pieces of architecture or statues. There are some nice lions on a church in the main square, as well as some others around the island.
