This is a typical medieval walled city, with round defensive towers and cluster of red-roofed houses, built and decorated by stone carvers.
Kuca Marka Pola
Marco Polo Birth House and Museum
It is believed that in Korčula town was born Marco Polo. His supposed birthhouse is next to the St. Peter's Church.
It's easy and a pleasant experience to walk across the old town.
The area is small, almost flat, the narrow streets provide good shadows, and the interesting details are everywhere.

- Castles and Palaces
Roam around the center of town and get lost in the staicases and alleyways. Stumble upon Marco Polo's house and grab an ice cream.
Grab a kitty
To cuddle with!! Ha ha they are everywhere and so cute and friendly. Just leave them where you found them and be considerate of their feelings.
Top of Malta kod janeta
This is one of the views from the top of Malta Kod Janeta. The picture is a series of stone walls. I think they might have been ruins from previous wars. If anyone knows the truth please let me know.
Korcula town is pretty small so that's why it's fun to grab a water taxi and explore either the rest of the Island like Lumbarda or hop to other islands like, Badija and Orebic.
These are the most popular stairs in Korcula...they lead to the centre of an old city of Korcula...but be careful while going down...they're very slippery... :-)
- Water Sports
The harbour area is very nice to wander around and look at the various restaurants, things on sale etc. It is also just nice to sit there and watch the yachts, ferries and other boats dock.
South side entrance called Land Gate (Kopnena Vrata) from 1650's, that leads trough Revelin, a monumental tower of a quadrangular ground-plan (1493-1496) into the Old Town.
St Marks Cathedral
You will find the cathedral located on the square in the old part of town. It is a Gothic building from the 15th century. The chapel of St Rok was built beside the cathedral.
A day at the beach
Due to the excellent weather, you have to visit the beach and work on that tan. A person cannot do sightseeing all the time, you also need time out to chill and relax
Inside the town walls, in the old part of the city at the beginning of the 16th century lived 6000 inhabitants. The neo-baroque staircase leads from the coast to the old part of town.
On the far side of town, you find the old castle wall. This to me, was just adreally a lovely stretch to walk in the evenings and mire the architecture on the island.
