Fondest memory: All the way from Ston in to the mainland of the Peljesac peninsula is covered by vineyards.
Plenty of wineries await a visit, plenty of flavours and scents long for a taste.
This is the art of this fruitful ground, worth to enjoy it!

Favorite thing: Ston is a unique village in that it has retained it's charm whilst at the same time playing host to visitors. It is a chance to walk to some tiny hamlets where life has just about stood still. Where wine and brandy are made by the locals and where people will make you so welcome when you stay in their homes.
Fondest memory: Sitting in the village square enjoying a glass of wine under the shade of a large tree (model unknown). The waiter coaxed a wild bird out of tree to eat some bread out of his hand. Sue eventually had it eating out of her hand too, much to our delight. The tree has of course a number of birds but the waiter told us this was the only one who which he had managed to hand feed. He must have spent hours getting that little fellow on to his hand. (See photos)
