6 Reviews In a so long and beautiful coast, beaches are a rarity. But in Makarska coast we have one of the biggest concentration of them, turning the area in a privileged bathing coast. Sorry, something more important was waiting and we didn't try them.
2 Reviews Strolling along the streets of Makarska, you will come across a number of churches and other architectural and cultural sights among which is the popular Museum of Shells, situated in Franciscan monastery.
2 Reviews This is the ideal place to relax , a very long esplanade with shady palms, seats and warm weather, all the ingredients to enjoy a few hours watching the world go by. There is always some activity on the water and when you are ready a cafe is a few steps away. Just enjoy yourself in Makarska.
2 Reviews I actually didn't go surfing but you were able to if you wanted to. The paddle boat holds about 4 people and has a slide. It is pretty cheap to use for an hour. The water is absolutely beautiful and very clear.

No, we didn't go to Makarska. We were supposed to sleep there, but a small change in the program made us sleep in Split. But we did follow the coast, which seems to be the highlight of the area.
