This shop is located in the old town and it's full of goodies! All the chocolate and sweets lovers need to visit this shop as it carries Croatian produced products of the "Kras" brand. I didn't have time to look around properly as the shop was just closing so I had to make a rush purchase.
You will note that the Kras company also has chocolate toy eggs. If you know the ones from Kinderschokolade make sure that you taste these ones too.
What to pay: There is something here for every budget!

About halfway up Marmontova ulica (street), you'll find the local fish market. When I was there in the morning, the place was really bustling with locals checking out the day's fresh catch. After the market winds down in the afternoon, the area is hosed down, but don't expect the smell to go away. PEEEEYUUUU!
Of course, the nearby sulphur baths don't help much!

Its a shop where any woman can find shoes of her choice: modern or just classy. One of my favorite stores because they have very modern design at good prices. Pay special attention to the times when they have sales! I bought croco lookalike skin shoes discounted from HRK 1200 to 500! Karla has a number of stores around Split and its worth to find out where they are because mostly they carry different collections!

"Na koljeno" is local name for such a styled shops, as you could see it on this pictures, in english it would be "on the knee". It is doorway and window shop, all in one. Not much of such a shops still excisting in the coastal towns along Adriatic, and it is really pitty. This could be the real Croatian trade mark and I would order each shop to have such a characteristic and recognizable style.
Some old stone houses along Adriatic still have "na koljeno" shaped doorways, but it is not because there used to be the shop. Such a shaped doorway, which overlooking the street or small square, is very practicale and served for the ladies of the houses who could watch out and see who is passing by. Also, they used to stop kiths and kins if passing by for chatting or exchanging the newest ghossipings.
