The main shopping area in Split for designer and name-brand goods (mostly for women) is the marble-lined street of Marmontova. It runs from the waterfront all the way back to the Trg Gaje Bulata, which is where the Croatian National Theatre is located.
You will find jewelry, clothing, shoes and other goods and brands such as Versace, Armani, and D&G. You will also find a few restaurants mixed in along the way.
On the opposite side of the Old Town (western), you'll find this long, always busy street lined with all kinds of shops and a smattering of restaurants and cafes. It runs from the Riva (waterfront) up to Trg Gaje F. Bulata where there is a mall, a theater and the Croatian National Theater.
This shop features brands like Exte, Versace, Cavalli, gianfrance Ferre and Dolce and Gabbana. It has both mens and ladies section. Usually they have a corner with discounted stuff so you can find excellent original clothes and get them for affordable prices! The ladies working there are very nice and helpful and will instruct you where to go should you not find what you are looking for in their store.
What to buy: Shoes!
Check out all the stores. Most if them have mixed good and bad quality from Italy and Turkey. My favorites are shoes. Some of the better stores feature Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, Esprit, Gulliver shoes, Mexx, Skiny, Naf Naf, Benneton, La Coste, Robe di Kappa, Diesel, Gas. Must check out local stores are 2 Kineza, Zoe, Earth, Scandal, Gulliver.
What to buy: Brand SCANDAL is local designers place, check it out, its for young people and not so expensive.
What to pay: NA
Along the Marmont street or Marmontova there are different shops where you can get different things from food to clothes and shoes.
Shopping in Split is mainly in the city centre. It is convenient as the Palace walls will protect you from the heat in summer and from the cold in wintertime.
