    This year, on Saturday in October 5th was held 82nd Mrduja, participating over 300 sails.
    Sea enthusiasts resurrect the spirit of the oldest regatta on the Mediterranian and the greatest and the oldest in Croatia. It represents the combination of folk tourist celebration and a sport spectacle.

    'Ajduk, Split football club has a long tradition in this town and other Dalmatian towns.
    In "Velo Misto" , the series by the book of Miljenko Smoje, are shawn the historical events, development and life in Split during the first half of the twentieth century, the ups and downs of one of the FC Hajduk. The story follows the adventures of the founders and the first players of Hajduk, from Dalmatian students in Prague. They brought first ball "balun " to Split and gave the name to their club. The actor Mustafa Nadarević plays the engineer Duje, 'ajduk founder and first 'ajduk goalkeeper. Famous late actor Boris Dvornik plays a local barber, his famous saying is: Neću pulitiku u svoju butigu! No politics in my barbershop! or Jema, jema puno lipi' stvari, ma i' ne smin kazat!(Šjor Keko) There are many nice things, but I may not speak about it!

    Bike tour around Split and Marjan

    Bike tour that takes 4 hours offers a lot! Relaxing ride, fantastic nature, astonishing views on the town from the Marjan hill, great guidance and lots of interesting historical and real life facts provided by the guide...

    In short, it is really nice way to explore the town and do a bit of exercise...

    The same company (called Red adventures) offers rock climbing, sea kayaking and windsurfing!

    Equipment: It is provided by the company, included in the price.

    Biking & Jogging at Marjan

    Marjan hill on the western part of the town is a perfect place for biking, jogging and other outside activities. There is a bike rental company at the entrance gate (the inland entrance ). You can stay on the tarmac or try some of the forest trails.

    Equipment: The bikes are basic mountain bikes and are in ok condition. The rent is 15 kunas (around 2 euros) per hour.
