    From from the Roman era, it was built from the 1st century BC to the 3rd century AD, 45 by 90 metres in size. The column was used as a pillory until the 19th century.

    Narrow cobbled road with beautiful old buildings leaded us to Roman forum. We made a coffee break here. It's so enjoyable to sit in the shadow watchoing people passing by.

    Gradska Loža (City Lodge) stands on Narodni Trg (Peoples square). It was built in 1565 by Gian Girolamo Sanmicheli as a city tribunal. It nowadays serves as a stunning exhibition space.

    Clock tower is part of the cathedral of St.Stošija, and you can go inside and have a great view of the whole Zadar area.
    The entrance toll is 10kn(1.5Euro) for adults and 5kn(0,75Euro) for kids.

    The gothic Church of St. Dominic used to stand west of the Land gate. The first university mentioned in 1396 was a part of the monastery.
