    Vertigo?

Favorite thing: Island is famous for its high cliffs hanging vertically (70 m) over deep blue sea. If the weather is stabile, sailing along southern coast is fabulous experience. There are only a few spots shallow enough to anchor for a quick dip in a sea. No tourists, no villages, just vertical wall continuing to deep dark depths. We found many empty sea urchin “harness” without needles in lovely pastel colors from green to violet.

    Sali

Favorite thing: This is the only village in the area of Telascica Nature Park. If you are coming by car, you can buy tickets and supplies here.
Also if you are boating / sailing, here is the safe mooring in case of bad weather with electricity and fresh water, plus local grocery shop.

    sea feeds you

Favorite thing: Waters around Dugi otok are rich with fishes and virtually all restaurants here have them on menu, but for the price which is normal in Croatian tourism business.
If you're on limited budget, eating fishes in restuarants can dry your walet pretty soon, especially if you'll eat them once a day, every day. But as always there are solutions, luckily.

Fondest memory: It is always good to learn where local fishermen go fishing and when they come back from the trip to the sea. You can try your luck and ask them if they could bring something for you and discuss time and the price with them.
We brought those fishes on photo for 150 Kuna all of them, straight from fishermen in Brbiscica gulf; i don't know english names but it doesn't matter really. They were delicious after we prepared them on barbecue in the garden, even better than those in restaurants. So fresh!
