 National Park Brijuni by croisbeauty A group of 14 islands and islets, "like green gems sprinkled on a blue carpet", located between Puka and Rovinj. The call of the sea and the mild climate, the undisturbed natural balance, promenades and sports courts make Brijuni the prestigious tourist destination that they are. Kings and emperors, princesses and princes, baronesses and barons and the rest of the European elite relaxed here in the beginning of the 20th century. The thermal characteristics of the Mediterranean climate, adequate amounts of humidity and quite thick layers of red soil contribute to the growth of the indigenous and intoduced exotic vegetation. Forest are sanctuaries and the clearings are pasture-grounds for game: the fallow, deer, the axis deer, the doe and the mouflon. Around two hundred species of birds nest or periodically stay in Brijuni. Animals in the Safari park draw special attention: zebras, Llamus, antelopes, Indian cows, Somalian sheep, camels and the biggest exicisting elephant in Europe.

 Vizace - Nesactium by croisbeauty A prehistoric and ancient Roman archaeological complex, located some ten kolometres northeast of Pula. The former settlement, called Isaccio, Isazzi and Nesactium, was, in pre-Roman times a fortified capital of the union of the Illyrian tribe the Histars. The decisive battle between the superior Roman invaders and the Histars took place under the 880 m long city walls in 177 BC.  Vižinada by croisbeauty A settlement of predominantly rural characteristics located some fifteen kilometres to the northeast of Porec. The mildly rolling relief favours the growning of vines and other crops characteristic of the Istrian climate. Vižinada's parish was first mentioned in 1177 in a deed of gift made by the Pope Alexander III. The neo-classicist parich church of St. Jerome, was built in 1837 on the site of a former Romanesque church from the 12th century. The baroque public cistern from the 18th century was built after a plan made by Simeone Batistella. Carlotta Grisi (1819-1899), one of the best European ballerinas was born in Vižinada. Bale became the meeting place of palaeontologists in 1992, when the fossilized bones of the gigantic reptiles the dinoraurus were found in Kolone Bay. The Euphrasioan Basilica from the 6th century, also a cathedral, is the oldest and the most significant religious building of Porec. The boat ride across the 2,5 km wide Fažana Channel to the pier on Veliki Brijun takes fifteen minutes.  The Town Hall of Vodnjan by croisbeauty Vodnjan is an ancient Mediterranean townlet with appealing stone architecture located some ten kilometres north of Pula, also the municipality centre and the seat of the deanery with eight parishes. The Vodnjan area is ecpecially known for its olive groves, which are processed in Vodnjan's oil rafinery. There is the temping City Palace of 1478 and the Gothic Bettica Palace from 1520, which was turned into the Local Museum. The building of the Baroque parish church of St. Blaise began in 1761, was finished in 1808 and was concecratred in 1850. The bell tower was finished in 1882, and it is the heighest in whole Istria.
