Bale is small town in between Pula and Rovinj, a perfect place for lovely and enjoyable day trip. The architecture of Bale is amazing, with lots or visible and hidden gems worth of seeing. During a day you will enjoy in strolling throughout the place and exploring cobblestones narrow streets set in a way to give maximum protection from the summer heat or the cold winter winds.
Apart from traditional folk festivity, "Bale Night", which is held the first Saturday in August, Bale offers so-called "Last Minute-Jazz Festival", which lasts five days featuring some interesting musicians.
I found this place last year after it was recommended by locals - I have to say it is one of the nicest places I've been - the whole vibe was amazing, lots of cool locals and a few lucky tourists like me.
There's a 200 year old fig tree that gives shade during the day (we pretty much lived there once we found it!) and the whole place is designed in an angular way made from wood.
Excellent cocktails were served all day to hammocks, and it's the kind of palce that you can spend the whole day recovering from a hangover, only to go and do it all again as the next party commences......
An absolute gem of a place, highly recommended
