Pizzeria-restaurant Nono serves a good choice of pizzas, pasta, gnocchi (dumplings) and second courses, as fish or meat dishes.
At this pizzeria they serve two sizes of pizzas. The small and the medium one. Be careful; the small pizza is a quite large. I suppose the medium one would be extremely large.
Favorite Dish: I went at Nono's a couple of times. The first time I had gnocchi with four cheeses. I liked them. The second time I asked for pizza with vegetables. It was full of these. Even if this pizza wasn't crusty I like it anyway.

As the Istra peninsula used to belong to Italy all cuicine are italian inspirated. Pizza and pasta fills the menu allong with the usual meat and fishdinners, all with a local twist. I found the croatian sausages to be nice.
Local wine and beer are nice but if you prefer international beverage there are always hieneken.

This is the best seafood restaurant in Poreč. They have all kind of fishes and of other seafood. They have mostly local customers that are not one-time visitors. If they come back, that has a meaning ! The lady manager is very friendly.
The third photo shows special Istrian home made pastas. I must look for their name that I have written down but cannot find right now.
Favorite Dish: Ligne na žaru

Not really a restaurant but a bar with a superb terrace in a very pleasant surrounding, on Trg Narodne. It is close to the market and mosrt customers come from the market, either customers of the market or selling on the market.

Not really a restaurant but better a barwith a superb terrace in a very pleasant surrounding, on Trg Slobode, and with comfortable seats under the shade.
You can have for example a pita/burek (second photo)
Very friendly.
Favorite Dish: Besides the drinks, they have a great variety of ice-creams and a few hot food (burek).

In Summer, the tables set under the olive tree in the rear yard (first photo), enclosed by medium height walls that protect from the wind, are very pleasant. When the weather is cooler, the room inside is well arranged and friendly looking.
The side entrance (second photo) may not be an entrance for customers as nothing is written to identify it, but only an entrance for staff. It opens in a wonderful little passage that leads from Decumanus to the quay.
This carving shown on the third photo is found left to the side entrance of Ulixes restaurant and allows to peep into the restaurant. I expect this is not what it has been designed for ! I suppose that it actually wants to remind of a boat porthole.
Favorite Dish: Carpaccio with truffels.
Tuna with truffels sauce.
Any grilled fish or squid

This restaurant is located in Zelena Laguna close to the hotel Zorna.
I like the surroundings because its a big green garden with trees growing in the middle. there is also small patches of grass in there.
So far Ive tried their seafood which is excellent. Read : risotto with seafood, and various steaks and again my fave: Cevapcici!

We always recommened this place to our guests, because it has brillant food. In Porec lots of places are only open during the summer and serve only pizza for the tourists, but Dali is open all year long and lots of locals eat there as well.
They serve local food as well as local, and I love their Cevapcici!

Without a shadow of a doubt, the best restaurant is Nono. It does a varied menu, mainly italian, also lots of seafood too but th portions are fantastic and the prices very very reasonable. We went there both nights in Porec, the first time we had a big pizza, and it was MASSIVE, the biggest ive ever had(mustve been 18 inches), and it was only 50kn(£5), and it was bloody gorgeous! none of us could finish so they gave us a diggy bag to take it home for breakfast!
The 2nd night, i had a lovely bit of really thick tender steak for 80kn. wine here is pretty cheap too. the only problem is that it gets busy and you may have to wait! its nice to sit outside but there isnt much room, but worth the wait!

A friendly and welcoming restuarant, good selection of tasty food, ideal for breakfast too. A pleasant surprise was Lowenbrau on tap here too....not that there's anything wrong with the local beers though!

I just got home after spending a month in Porec. Being a guide there was a great experience but Im afraid some of my hints will reflect the fact i was a guide and not a normal visitor.
