As in Summer Poreč is short of parking space, if you park on a forbidden place (first photo) , the police arrives very fast (second photo)and you might get into big trouble !
So, you have better take care, it will be cheaper than to pay a ticket !
Third photo : luckily, this is not my car ! Is that yours? I warned you ! You are going to have a ticket plus a heavy tax for the crane job when you will collect your car at the police pound. In the background, the Round Tower can be seen.

Those old pavements have been polished over the years (the centuries). They look wonderful for the eye. If you have good shoes, you will be OK. But those who might have the idea to wear fancy shoes, which a sole is equally smooth, won't stand up long. The same applies for ladies that would wear stiletto hills. Beware !

Living there and visiting regularly, I can not think of the moment when I felt unsafe. At least no more trouble is expecting you that in any other cities or countries.
But here is one thing to watch for: sea urchins. Actually most beaches I went to were free of them (it was a mistery for me - were they removed by someone, or they just went away?), but my friend still managed to step on one of them in Lanterna beach. So always carry a needle - very handy tool!

There are not any public places that I saw to have your pleasure in time of need. So, there are facilities at the main parking area. Females pay 3 kuna-75 cents.

As nice as it looks, those cobblestones are slippery and high heels do not work well with those, so hope that your partner can carry you down this street! :-)
