With pasta, risotto, seafood, various fish and meat on the menu, this restaurant provides much the same as any other in this part of Croatia. Nothing flashy, just familial dishes made with fresh ingredients by someone who really knows their trade. They serve daily specials for well under £10, with only fresh fish over this price. We thoroughly enjoyed this dinner on the outside terrace, just 100m from the Roman Arena.
Favorite Dish:
My favorite dish was Gilthead seabream simply grilled, delicious. My husband loved the Kvarner Bay Scampi risotto.
It was at best just okay. The service was slow and the bringing out of the meals were the same. The food was not that tasty, and in fact the lasagna I ordered tasted a bit tainted., but it was not your traditional made dish. The meat was not hamburger, but some concoction of a meat/sausage. The fish Micky had was good, but greasy.
Prices were $9 for lasagna, and the fish was $14 for a single fish. The other cost was $5 for a large beer, and $6 for a glass of wine. This is what you get when eating on the main strip in town. There are so many competing restaurants here, and all seemed higher than I expected in prices.
Favorite Dish:
The fish was closest to being favorite-maybe
The service was good-if it were not for the owner and one loyal long time waiter having an argument that was high pitched. Since we were the only ones in the restaurant, I guess they felt like they could talk as if they were at home arguing? The food was good, but I ordered the wrong dish for the part that includes gnochi; not my favorite to fill the belly.
Price was $10-12 for our meals plus $4 for a beer and $5 for a glass of wine
Favorite Dish:
The lamb patties were good, but not great. The cipicici that Micky had also was just okay.
The food was a good quality and they served a decent sized portion. One of the best features was the personal service they would give you, and throw in a free rakija of other appertif of your choice. Price of the food is $9-15 range, and our meat plate was $12; reasonable. It was not crowded durjng our May trip, so they were happy to serve someone, but I am fairly sure they get busy when season around Marina Veruda come alive in summer.
The owner was a pilot during the war of Yugoslav breakup-so he has plaques on the wall. He is a nice guy, and the local card player in the restaurant with the locals.
Favorite Dish:
The mixed meat plate they provided for us two included cipicici, sausages, lamb was very tasty and well prepared. Salads and soup of mushroom we ordered were great.
It is nice when travelling abroad to just once have something to eat that you are used to. With McDonalds a household name around the world, this is where we go.
Favorite Dish:
MCCHICKEN SANDWICH WITH FRIES AND BANANA MILKSHAKE.
One of so meny simmilar restaurants in Pula. We took it as it was not so busy and prices were reasonable. All food we got were nice and tasty. However we had to wait for our meal literaly 1 hour and the waitrees was not too nice.
Favorite Dish:
Pizza Quatro Fromaggi was great, mixed grilled meet was very tasty as well.

Located right at the main square Forum, the restaurant with the same name is a great place for people watching and one of the few places that accepts credit cards.
Favorite Dish:
We had Cevapi, aka Cevapcici as well as Rizoto sa dagnje, Risotto with Mussels. Both dishes come at 60 Kuna each.
Will it be a plump apple strudel or fruit and cream torte today? My head always spins at the selection of home-made cakes and pastries whenever I step into "Charlies". The staff must think that I am always on a sugar high because of the frequent visits. While my girth takes a battering, the atmosphere in the cafe oozes warmth and hospitality from the guys and gals working there and customers' chatter. Contentment is guaranteed. Spend 5 minutes with an espresso and custard puff or 2 hours -- you will be thankful for the 'guilt' trip.
Favorite Dish:
I'm a strudel girl. Apple, cherry, poppy seeds...then again, the fruit and cream torte is light and lovely. Ice-cream is available in modest flavours. The coffee is smooth and well-rounded.
Great atmosphere, excellent coffee, super friendly staff, and fabulous views of Fazana's fishing harbour.
Favorite Dish:
Dessert: Pancakes are freshly made (15 kuna/ 2.05 euro), drizzled with rich chocolate sauce. There are other fillings to choose from; poppy seeds, walnut and marmalade. Also, the chef makes a couple of excellent cakes daily.
To Nibble On: freshly grilled sardines with crusty bread. That's what Fazana is about -- the sardines! Oh, and other seafood as well...
