This is no doubt loaded with tourists in the summer season. When we were there, it was even fairly crowded, and groups standing around the sites listening to the history dialogue while I was trying to capture a picture without them in the setting. Most difficult

....The task was made up of jumping into the deep canyon and for the first atempt I could do it by jumping on the feet. The next atempt, later on or after few days, I had to do by jumping on the head. I was fourtheen when I've fulfilled thet task. See on this picture how it looks from above.
When I am back here, after so many years, I think it was very crazy task, don't try it when in Pula.

Efficient but not so nice guys ! Actually, in summer, parking is very difficult in the center of Pula and you have better park a little further and avoid both park meters and tickets ! If you drive towards the heights of the city, you will easily find plenty of free parking.

This is why the "nice guys" were so happy to go to work : they knew they were going to sprinkle these beautiful tickets on the cars that were either parked on the wrong place or that had exceeded the allowed time !
BTW, you must know that if you get a ticket, you can pay it in any bank or post-office.

If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you will see a bunch of nice guys (and dolls !). They are all clothed in a white uniform with a white cap and they seem very happy to be together, they are smiling and laughing. It is a pleasure to watch them!

The main entrance of this mysterious building is at the end of Trg Portarata. Seen from Trg Portarata, it is even more impressive and looks wealthy. Wealthy !? Of course, it is a bank ! I bet your money will be kept under a high level of security behind all these grids !

Pula is a mixed bag with a rather drab modern looking city. However, it does have ancient Roman ruins made before BC, which are considered the countries true treasures.
