Jablanac Travel Guide

 coceng Says:  ..you have to pass through Jablanac...It is a small town down a slope... situated in a cove, overlooking the Adriatiac Sea.....Explore the town if you want, but most people or vehicles will be on queue waiting for the ferry to transport them to Rab Island... 

 coceng Says:  The photo shows the type of car Ferry that would transport you to Rab Island....Lorries, Busses, cars & camping Caravans...all can be boarded on the Ferry....It doesn't look like a ferry though, more of a ship....well, to me anyway. 

 coceng Says:  When You once arrive to Croatia, there are several ways how to come to Rab. Best way to come is through Slovenia ( from Italy, Austria or Hungary). You will come on Croatian border place Pasjak or Rupa, then drive to Rijeka. And from Rijeka follow road which take to Split... 

 coceng Says:  To reach Jablanac...well, buses all along the Dalmatia Coast can help you reaching this place...but only in you want to go to Rab Island.My bus left me at 2 am a few km from jablanac & I had to walk to the pier to catch the Car Ferry....If you have your own car, camping... 

 coceng Says:   Another fond memory would be on the Car Ferry,....at about 5 am...on board & watching the sea, absorbing the morning air...watching other travellers & their vehicles on board....Some of the kids were still in their slumbering moods...& some still sleeping, in their... 

 coceng Says:   ....Nice & beautiful morning sceneries on board the Car Ferry....Only a few minutes to reach a point in Rab Island....but the small islands around Jablanac offer excellent views indeed ! Some guys told me these islands look like the surface of the moon & they are not wrong...
