I ate at this restaurant twice. Both times I had some very good palacinke (crepes). Their name is palacinke Riva and it is made of three crepes with finely grounded nuts, ice cream, some liquid chocolate and whipped cream. It was a complete meal in my opinion.
This restaurant also serve pasta (noodles), njoki (dumplings) and various fish and meat dishes. I had a taste of njoki with Gongorzola cheese as well. These were really good.
Favorite Dish: Palacinke Riva.
Konoba is the same as Italian Trattoria or Osteria, traditional local restaurant which offers daily fresh and well prepared food for resonable prices.
Favorite Dish: Konoba "Šime" is situated in the old core of the town, overlooking the harbour of Krk.
When in konoba you have to taste the local cuisine, especially the seafood. Regarding fish, the best is to trust the weiters advice.
Slasticarnica indicates ice-cream shop, the right place for refreshing and delicious temptation in a hot summer days. I never think twice in front of such an shop-window, the question is shall I take big or biger one portion. Oh yes, I adore ice-cream eating it in the big quantities during the summer.
Regarding ice-cream offer on the island of Krk, trust me, it is of excellent quality.

I suggest you to order delicious Adriatic fresh and grilled squid, like I did, and the local white wine.
The squid from Adriatic is very particular, the best kind of squid that exist. Trust me, I am expert for the fish. It is much bigger then other squids, almost red coloured skin which is fat and the meat of it is very succulent.
This is the terrace of Konoba "Šime", situated right on the seabord, offering magnificent view to the vivid harbour of Krk. Besides, it is a part of the main promenade and you wont feel boredom while waiting for the dish.
Wide selection of fresh seafood dishes, meat platters and quality wines daily.
With more than 60 years experience there is little we donít know about seafood preparation just the way you like it.
A mere 35 km from Rijeka, over the Krk bridge, it is well worth the visit - your table awaits you!
Open every day until midnight.
I really appreciate the fact that family is actively involved in the service + its CD approved with top quality certified cooks.
Favorite Dish: They have weeks of different food, I tried fresh sea food and weeks of truffels. Both were amazing.
When I entered the pizzeria I thought it was just an ordinary local place. It has a wooden benches and a nice fireplace inside. I was surprised how professional the people were, how cosy it was and what a great menu these guys had! They are all young and very friendly. My favorite dish there was definitely steak with truffels. The food portions were huge and when you order drinks you get fresh bread trianges to chew on!
Favorite Dish: Steak with truffles, mixed salad. Great fresh taste, huge portions, nicely decorated. I also had a munch on the local cake FRITULE that were fresh and jussssst great.
Restaurant Nada is located on top of the village Vrbnik, high above the sea, with spectacular views towards mainland from the street terrace (have a digestive "Rakija" there to prepare for dinner). It is a family run business, with tradition since 1974.
Favorite Dish: Seafood that I love the most there: Black Squid Risotto, Scampi - grilled or "Buzara" style, Buzara Mix with scampi and various clams, "brancin" fish roasted in salt-coating.
Of course, quality means - make reservations for your table and some special dishes in advance!

Taste their “prsut” (wind dried ham, hanging from the ceiling on this picture), sheep cheese, fabulous seafood, lamb, and of course – their own wine (wine cellar opened for visitors this spring).
