    Good walking shoes are essential when visiting this park. Paths are well organized and kept clean and tidy, but they consist mainly of gravel or wooden paths above some lakes and waterfalls. Also, many wooden paths become wet close to the waterfalls so choose shoes that won't be too slippery!

    Please note that in the winter monts paths are cleaned from the snow, but they do not have built-in heating. So, ice can make them VERY slippery and possibly dangerous as well. Plitvice are situated in the mountaineous region of Croatia where winters are cold with lots of ice and snow.

    I don’t usually build a tip about Packing but here I have to mention one thing, as it is really necessary.
    A pair of comfortable walking boots/ trainers. Whatever you think that is comfortable for you to walk 4 or 5 miles wear them.
