The ride, side to side, across the Kozjak Lake last approximately 15 minutes, during which you can enjoy in the panoramic view of the lake and its surroundings. The boat takes you to the location of Burget, where the small port is situated. It is the position from which your tour of the Upper Lakes begin. Burget is one of the most attractive part of the NP, rich of many cascades and waterfalls.

The walking tour along the Lower Lakes ends here on the lakeshore of Kozjak. From here you take the electic boat which will transport you across the lake to Burget, where the tour of the Upper Lakes begin. The price of the ticket includes tour-retour boat rides across the lake.

Inner transportation is organized with special panoramic vehicles and boats on electic engine.
I don't suggest you using a vehicle because the road partly goes through the wood and you wont see much of the waterfalls. On the other hand, if your time of the visit is limited...
Or, you can rent a rowing-boat and take your own romantic tour.

Electric boats across the Kozjak lake

    Electric boat

Lake Kozjak is large lake that divides Upper from the Lower lakes and no matter which colour-coded route you take this is always approximately halfway of your trip. So, hopping to an electric boat is a nice rest from the walking.

There are two boat lines accross the lake: shorter one from P1 to P2 stop is part of the Blue and Orange route while all other routes include the longer boat ride between the P2 and P3 boat stops.

Boat ride is also included in the price of your ticket and usually this is the only place where your tickets are inspected. In the summer boats leave approx. every 10 minutes.

Boats are electric and very silent so no environmental damage is made to the lakes.

    ship

There are little ships/boats that can take you from one side of the big lakes to the other. They run very often. But, be sure to have your ticket to the National Park, as it's your pass to board the ship.
    The ride is very pleasant!!!
