Climbing up the towers is just enough difficult and scary for a well deserved reward - spectacular views. Keep your eyes open, step carefully, make way for people descending - well, I figured it's better to be polite than to be squashed, right? So while I was politely waiting, I made this picture for you to enjoy.

	Island hopping Tip Rating:

One of the best things to do while you're in Rab, is definitely the posibility of island hopping. You can find lots of boat-companies that provide day-trips to near islands- Cres, Krk, Lošinj and Pag. I chose a trip to island of Lošinj. It was great. The sea between islands of Rab and Lošinj is known as home of 300 dolphins, but, unfortunately I haven't seen any. 
For the price between 20 and 30 euros you get transport, lunch on the boat which was extremely delitious (fresh grilled fish and cooked potatoes + salad) and we stopped bathing at a small desserted island and jumped from the boat. Anyway, it was a perfect experience and I deeply reccomend it.

Don't miss the remains of one of the 4 churches in city of Rab.The only remains of the Church of St. John the Evangelist, a unique Romanesque basilica, are the Romanesque bell-tower, the foundations and parts of the columns of the three-naval church as well as the restored deambulatory.

Relict of St.
Christophorus

Church of St. Justina was built from donations of local inhabitants in 16th century. Today it is a museum of sacral arts, that keeps the most precious relict - scull of St. Christophorus, protector of the Rab island.

Lapidarij - archeological collection of artifacts found in the area of Rab. It is one educational insight into thousands of years of rich history of this island, that hosted many friendly and not so friendly rulers from different parts of Europe.
Location - end of Gornja ulica (upper street), before city walls end and Komrcar park begins.

The church of St. Ivan Evangelista was build during 10th and 11th century, when members of Benedictine order came to the island. It is a ruin now, but very interesting one that shows basics of architectural composition of that era. If you climb up the tower, you get not only fabulous views over the city and the sea, but also of floor plan and structure of the church.
No entrance fee.

In the old city of Rab you can find 4 little churches in a row. The last one has a very beautiful park where you can enjoy in a sea view and a rest in the shaddow of the trees.

Medieval festival is going on from 25th to 27th July annually. It includes archers, drummers, dancers and variouse troops ( fishermans, pyrates, florists...) with the island traditional crafts as well as guests from Korcula, Koenigsbrunn, Germany and Arti e mestieri di Montegiardino from San Marino.

St. Mary The Great Tower

After had a rest in my private room, I was back wandered this area. Kept on walking to Kaldanac area where I saw this tower.
The Cathedral of St. Mary The Great (Sveti Mrija Velika) & its tower. Built in the 12th century. 25 m tall.

Rab Island

Another view inside the medieval area in Rab Town.
In the Varos area. Make sure you walk around this area, it's full of narrow cobble-stoned streets. Get yourself lost in here. You will feel that you are trapped in another era for sure.
I really want to live here !
