In the Medivial Age it became a castle with more than 500 inhabitants. Old town core spreads over the hill topped with bell tower of Church of Our Lady. Streets are extremly narrow, one of them is quite so...

Unfortunately I had to interrupt my holiday unexpected. I was touched of my friends' solidarity - we all went home, but we decided to come and see island Krk and the town Vrbnik again. There is so much more to see and to do.And at the end - coming back to the parking place we found the wheel of our car in fetters.Bad luck!

Colorful flowers and herbs as rosemay and sage are seen in every corner of the houses. I adore their gardens with smell of lavender and rosemary with olive tree and at least one fig tree. By the way - figs are my favourite fruit.

This is a beautiful bay, just below the Vrbnik. The water is deep enough so you can jump in it from rocks, and this same rocks prevent cold wind from blowing so there is always warmer and the water is more pleasant. A great place to take a bath or just enjoy the sun. There can also be heard water splashing between the rocks....

MALICsIcsI (small people)During long winter nights neighbours would often gather in one of their houses. And while fire from an open hearth warmed the elders seated as close to it as possible,an invisible hand was drawing vivid, restless images over the walls of barely lit rooms, like they were pages of some magical picture-book.Strange figures moved...

    History:
Restaurant Nada opened in 1974. It was initally a nice pub but gradually turned into a prestigious restaurant on the island of Krk which is also known in many foreign countries. The restaurant got several awards for its work such as Maison de qualité, from St. Fortunato's order and it is one of the 100 leading croatian restaurants. It has been also added to Lonely Planet, which is the world's most famous tourist guidebook.

    Offer:
Mediterranean cuisine, which consists mostly of sea specialities, is the most important feature of our food offer. We would like to point out some of our most delicious dishes such as seafood cocktail wich is very famous as well as scampi risotto, fish-frog in the sauce of Žlahtina (wine), lamb from the island of Krk and so on....

    Small Info:
The restaurant Nada opens on 15th March and closes on 1st November and it is open every day from 12.00 to 23.00. We advise You to reserve the table by telephone and in the off-season period it is possible to announce Your coming in advance.

Favorite Dish: They have excellent white wine Žlahtina, red wine Brajdica and great desert wine Prošek which is very sweet and taste great. Also they have fantastic sheep cheese and prosciutto. When you come there they will offer you their home made appetizers: Smokovača (fig brandy),Komovica (grape brandy), Travarica (grape brandy with Ruta-kind of herb) and they will show you video about Vrbnik and the wine-making process.

Favorite thing: Vrbnik is a fount of Glagolitic script, a "World champion" in number of Glagolitic monuments, a place where Glagolitism was always nurtured...
"A script discovers a bit of Eternal Light in man,it is a heavenly order and a language of ideas, reading of heaven and discoverng of symbols."

That symbol is "soaked" with teological and archetypal meanings and it is also a stave for Glagolitic letters which inscribed name of Vrbnik into the lightest and holliest chapters of Glagolitism.
Some other wheels brought You to Vrbnik and Vrbnik's Wheel takes You to the journey through space and time but also round and around through a labyrinth of Vrbnik's narrow streets, where every little house and gutter are letters by which we read the town.
