On the far southern tip of Cres island thre is a new dolphin reserve which give home to a resident population of around 120 bottlenose dolphins. This is the first reserve of its kind in the Mediterranean Sea. Included within the reserve is the small island of Veli Losinj.

Double gulf
Island Losinj has very dissected coast, with numerous gulfs - bigger or smaller. Everybody can find the place - "his own" beach for the time one spent in the island.
On the photo bellow is double gulf, early in the morning - still empty.

Our hotel was out of the center of the town Mali Losinj. The old town has its charm, and of course, we visited it every day, either to have a coffee and icecream in the morning or an excellent supper in one of countless good restaurants (konoba) in the evening.

Hotel Aurora,
is the one, we choose, among the numerous other on the island. You can see, it is surrounded with trees, mostly pine-trees. Lots of greeness everywhere.
Beach is not far away, just a short walk

This is on old exotic tree Indian Cedar. Island Losinj has a very mild climate, therefore, it isn't unusual at all, to find plants which native soil is in tropical climate.

Ferry boat.
we traveled by car, the same as last year. You have to take a ferry boat to reach the island. This one on the photo is one of those which transported tourists and cars, campers, buses...

Mali Losinj (to the ends of Cres)
This is one of the streets of Mali Losinj, narrow and cobbled. This particular street was supposed to lead us to the harbor, but it took us instead to the rocky outcroppings south of town.

The island of Lošinj has a secular tradition of tourism. Small island of the Adriatic sea it's really the best place to have some rest and make a lot of activities. Sometimes you can read "Lussino"......
