A tender beef stew with fresh vegetables,flaky fruit filled pastry for dessert and topped off with a small decanter of the local red wine or a beer.
We visited in the fall and on every street corner sat stalls selling roasted chestnuts and corn.Fantastic while strolling in the crisp fall weather!

The twin villages of Ston & Mali Ston at the head of the Peljesac peninsulavare famous for their lobster.Not cheap (although cheaper than at home) but DELICIOUS!
Good quality, good local wine and nice service on a beautiful terrace on the sea!U can choose direct from the fridge the fresh fish that all the day teh fisherman catch in the valun bay!
To my pleasant Croatia have very nice beers and as my visit was on a hot June, I did tasted many Croatian beers, to name few are: Karlovaċko, Ozujsko, Tomislav dark and Velebitsko.
The food is wonderful -- scampi, seafood risotto, sea bass... excellent! They have very nice wines as well..
