Every first weekend in July Djakovo hosts annual folklore festival called "Djakovacki vezovi" - meaning literally Djakovo embroidery.
This is the most important folklore festival in the region of Slavonia and one of the most important in Croatia. During the several days the festival creates a great opportunity to see authentic clothes, hear old music and dance or see horses from the famous Djakovo Lippizaner stud farm.
