And if you really, really need to catch up on latest news or ring someone to scream how amazing place you are just having a drink in - there's a TV and telephone, too.
Fred Flintstone: I just want my old job back and my old life. Oh and two weeks paid vacation for all the workers in the quarry, an annual cost-of-living increase, and those little packets of ketchup in the lunch room.

In nearby village Svinisce, Mr. Marko Batulin started furbishing his cave-cellar with things he made from stone and wood. Soon the word spread from his friends who were enjoying his hospitality, and more and more people were coming to see this amazing Flintstones cave. So it became a bar. Now it’s a restaurant! Unfortunately he had to give up on stone carved ashtrays etc. - things were just too tempting as a "souvenir". But the whole place is still absolutely amazing!
In the centre of the bar you can admire this Flinstonemobile!

Wonderful adventure, 3 hours of very pleasant gliding down this beautiful river, from Slime to Radmanove Mlinice.
Few spots with more action, just enough for a gentle adrenaline rush, but still suitable even for children.
Experienced skippers give instructions about pedalling, in some areas you can even swim, but don't do that elsewhere, one person got killed because he jumped of the boat too close to waterfalls.
Equipment: They give you helmets and neoprene trouses, and there is a barrel for storing things that should not get wet.
The price of 25 Euros also includes transfer from any place between Split and Makarska.
Other agencies offer similar tours, but I noticed they have a shorter route for the same price.
Some Insider Info: Slap was the first agency to offer organized rafting on Cetina. Guys from Slovenia were storing their equipment in owner's garage for years ... and the business idea was born!
Ah those Slovenians, they just can't sit still and enjoy lazy holidays. :O)

Favorite thing: Producing electricity since 1912.
Now check about your town - since when do you have electricity?
Stunning power of four turbines. Depending of the flow of Cetina river.
Nearby Gubavica waterfalls are from 15 to 35 meters high, in the time of low water there are only two waterfalls.
The plant is regulating the flow of Cetina river, so canoeing is very safe from this plant towards Omis.

Favorite thing: This is one of many beaches on Cetina river. My hosts told me that local people don't mind campers setting up their tents at any place they like along the river. This area had just begun developing tourism, and they are incredibly friendly.
There are private rooms available, too.
Fondest memory: While waiting for Damir to come to pick us up from family home of the owner of Slap tourist agency, I was offered a homemade lunch, wonderful tasty meal that I enjoyed together with owner's parents and Irena.
Tourist Agency "Slap" is a family business indeed!

Favorite thing: Damir and Ivana made this trip absolutely unforgettable. Their pride and passion about their homeland is deep, honest and warm.
They both work for travel agency "Slap", the friendliest agency I ever encountered!
Imagine chatting with the driver who came to pick you up anywhere in the whole region, who turns out to be a brother of the owner and knows a lot about Adriatic lighthouses.
I mentioned I wanted to visit Slime very much.
Even though Slime appears as starting point of the rafting tour, you don't get near the village because it is so high up above the river.
So I got a guided tour not only to Slime but of the whole Cetinska region! I did mention that I'm writing about my travels for VT. Maybe they were impressed by that? :o)
Fondest memory: Travel Agency SLAP

Favorite thing: Josip Pupacic was born in Slime in 1928, and his poetry was influenced by deep strong feeing of heritage, ancestoral connections, destiny and nature.
He died in a tragic plane crash on the island Krk together with his wife and daughter in 1971.
His family is taking care of his heritage, few rooms of old family house are now dedicated to his collection of books, pictures and documents. It is not a formal museum, so you can only hope they are home during your visit. No entrance fee, and we even got juices. It's about true respect and desire to share, not about making money. That's how people are here.
