When planning, take into account that most of the streets are very narrow, some of them are one way only, and - mostly around the harbour - are not accessible by car.

We came to Supetar by bus from Bol, which was our first destination on the island of Brac.
In summertime there are about 6 daily buses connecting Bol with Supetar. The trip takes about 70 Minutes and a single ticket costs 35 Kuna (about 5 Euro, 2008).
The bus station of Supetar is situated right in the heart of the town, just adjacent to the ferry port.
As Supetar is the main transportation hub of Brac, there are also a few bus connections to other towns on the island, such as Sumartin.

It is a ferry connecting Split and Supetar, Brac Island. It runs 4-5 times a day between the two cities. It is easy to embark and the passenger lobbies are comfortable equipped with a coffee bar. The upper outer deck is comfortable and pleasant - you can see splendid the sea view from Split to Supetar. Consult the web-site for time table. The summer and other seasons' time table are slightly different.

We left Supetar by ferry to Split. In summer the ferries run almost hourly between Split and Supetar, less frequently in winter.
The trip takes about 1 hour and a single ticket costs 30 Kuna (about 4,30 Euro, 2008). Supetar is the main ferry port of the island of Brac and it is mainly served by the company Jadrolinija.

The only way to get to island of Brac by car is the Split-Supetar ferry line run by Jadrolinija. Check their site for timetables and prices.
When driving in Split, follow the "Trajekt" signs that lead you to the ferry. Expect long lineups (can be hours!!).
