Trogir's streets
Trogir can become crowded, especially in the evenings. But it's just about possible to sneak around during the day to enjoy getting lost in the narrow cobbled streets. Alternative? See 'Off the Beaten Path' island tip.

DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR IN THE CITY BECAUSE YOU GONE HAVE A TICKET. PUT YOUR CAR IN A PARKING ARE OR IN THE HOTEL PARKING.PARKING IS EXPENSIVE ALMOST 5 KUNAS PER HOUR EVERY WHERE DURING 24 HOURS BASES IN THE HOTEL ASK FOR A DAY PARKING CARD. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY BELIEVE ME. IF YOU NEED A PARKING PLACE IS LIKE THE LOTTO GAME 1 IN 1000000000%
In the hotel restaurants of low class you may be served by cold soup and hot bear, sounds like joke but still it can happened to you.Take good care what your money worth when changing in Kuna (loco currency) and check invoice carefully before paying it. 1 Euro worth approx. 7,50 kn Do not pay in Euros, although accepted in some shops, restaurants etc., change your money in the banks and pay in kuna.

In the heart of the Kornati Islands lies the beautiful island of Mana. Atop cliffs on the northern section of the island lie ruins evocative of much earlier times. Byzantium, Ragusa, Rome, Greece, Illyrium all run through your mind as you float along the island shore. Walking through the silent ruins, you can almost feel the ancients. Too bad the ruins actually only date to the 1960's when the site was developed as a movie set. It is still fun to wander among the old ruins, taking pictures. Your friends back home will not know any different:-} On the seaward side, cliffs invite you to prepare yourself for Acapulco. A nice side trip is to hike up the crest to the peaks to the south gianing more views to more Kornati dreams offshore. The tourist trap is fun so forget the alternative.

.Croatian bars (in the season) are exciting: full of nice people, delicious beer, wine, spirits, drinks etc. And they are opened looong (sometimes till sunrise). So better not to drink too fast not to loose great party.. .Get a taxi to your hotel. Drink as much mineral water (no gas) as you can before sleeping. Sleep looooong not to have hangover next/the same day :-). .If you have hangover drink fast 1 Karlocacko beer :-).Try soft drinks.

.If you are looking for vast sandy beaches on the Adriatic coast of Croatia please change your mind. The coast is fantastic and beatiful even on shingly (stony, rocky) or gravel beach. There are very few places with sandy (and usually narrow) beaches here. And even if you read in your renowned travel book that is the sandy beach it maybe the gravel one in fact..

When I got to St Mark's church I was a bit shocked to see how tatty the outside of the main building was even though the roof was a really nice sight.A lick of paint and a couple of guards (as in the famous picture in all holiday brochures) would go down a treat.

Do not buy too much kuna - cos you cannot trade them back anywhere and I mean it. I cannot remember if the Euro is here now - if yes - then it is great - no worries.Along the meanderings thru the harbour and shipping areas...watch for old sea dogs and watch your belongings - only because.
Cres is not large so it doesn´t take a long time to get from one end to the other, but you should know that the nothern part is more beautiful. The more south you are the more hotels, tourists and trash there are. And I am not talking about Maly Losinj island... We went there and dived and it was the first time there I saw trash in the sea.On the picture is Osor, the town between Cres and Mali Losinj islands.

Be carefull with the icecream they try selling you ! Its so nice so you may put on some wight ! lol lol.
