Boat trips are very famous in Croatia. Tucepi is surrounded by several islands like Hvar, Brac,... and close are bigger cities like Dubrovnik and Split, so there are a lot of possibilities where to go. The boat stops on its way somewhere, people can go swimming or see sights and then it continues in its way. As any other activities, you can buy the trip, which is arranged either for the whole day or just evening. Food - fish with bread and lettuce- and drink - wine- is included in the price, so you can imagine how people look like when they come back.
Another way to see the islands is to take a ferry and go by your own. F.e. from Makarska to Brac it takes 1 hour and the ferry goes 5 times a day (24 KN).

Biokovo mountain belongs to 10 nature parks of Croatia. It begins near city Brela and ends behind Podgora (along the cost). The highest mountain lies in the middle and is called St. Jure (1762 m). The mountains rise straight from the Adriatic sea and it is an extraordinary view on blue sea and white mountains with olive trees. Interesting is, that when you climb into the mountains, there are no hills but tableland.
There are many touristic paths to Biokovo in Tucepi, but only to get up there take some hours. Quite easy is to buy a trip with travel agency (there are a lot of offers in every corner) and a bus takes people up and then they walk around. The trip is usually for 1 day, including lunch (approx. 100 KN). Dont forget to take good shoes!

Podstup is a small village, apparently several houses, above Tucepi. This theatre is right on the way up to the mountains at the beginning of the village. It looks quite funny, small, but the performance must be impressive. The performances take place every Saturdays.

The main reason for people coming here is the sea and beach and to relax. During the day the beach is totally full, in the middle of the town, where are a lot of hotels, it is incredibly crowded. The beach is stony, it is better to wear shoes (what Croatians never do). It is an awsome to swim in the sea because it is very warm and clean, but it is rare to find a shell.
