Delicious food, across the board. I have been eating here since I had been a child and returned recently after many years absence, it is just as wonderful as I remember it. One thing you must try is the Lamb on the Spit, it is a house specialty and not to be missed. Best time to have it when it just comes off the fire, so succulent. Definitely have...

Vincek is the best known pastry shop in the city of Zagreb. It is always very crowded and hard to get free table inside of it. During the summer season the people stands outside of it waiting to get extraordinary self-made ice-cream, which is the best you have ever had. This August my Italian friends with two small girls have visited Zagreb. Their...

This is one of two low price restaurants in Zagreb with outdoor seating in the warm season. Since we didn't find an outdoor table in next door Nokturno restaurant, we ended up here in the Leonardo for our small VT meet in September 2012. They serve a wide range of dishes like pizza, pasta, meat, fish etc. I opted for a chicken filet with...

Paparazzo Food is a new star on the list of city restaurants which is recommended by the culinary experts. Tkalca is full of cafe-bars, clubs and junk food offers but what really is missing here it is a couple of good "slow food" places. This restaurant is small, offering only 30 places inside and another 30 on the terrace, therefore booking in...

Yes, big yellow "M" is your faith, everywhere you go there is at least one in the cities you visit. This one is situated in the heart of Zagreb, just a foot from the main square. I don't like fast food because in my opinion it is tasteless. I have never enter in this restaurant although I pass by every single day.

On Skalinska, between Gradec and the cathedral, were several little places to eat, all with seats out in the narrow street, and all extremely busy. I'd had trouble finding somewhere to eat in Zagreb, which will probably surprise the locals, but between my unreliable Lonely Planet guide, and the seemingly endless cafes without food, I got stuck for...

We were looking for a nice family place to eat, walked into Pivnica by complete accident (we were supposed to go next door!!) well what a wonderful surprise. It's a plain, normal, local eatery, some discribe it as a beer hall? The staff were warm, pleasant and helpful. The food was A M A Z I N G!!!! Excellent value for money. Go hungry :) Mixed...

  • More great pasta!

Unfortunately, we ate here last minute on the way to the train station so we didn’t get to spend as much time here as we would have liked to. The restaurant was soooo cute and cozy and the food was wonderful. I got to have my favorite dish, tomatoes with mozzarella, and the plate was so huge that I was glad I didn’t split it with my mom like I had...

  • Good for a tourist place

We knew that this place would be a little pricey when we decided to eat here, but we were so hungry that we didn’t want to waste time looking around for something cheaper. The service here was excellent, although the food was unimaginative. It had your basic tourist fare-pasta, burgers, etc. but also had some good regional food as well. I was too...
