As I told you in the previous tip to take the roadlike path to Sv. Ana. The reason is that you will then come past this monument which commemorates the first congress of the Croation communist party in this spot on 1st August 1937. It can be disputed whether that was any good but nevertheless it's part of Croatian history.
From the Sv. Ana church starts a prayer path with all the stop in the life of Jesus Christ. It's a steep uphill path and I checked it out myself as I was hoping to have a view from the top. There wasn't any view but I found something else.
In order to see this church you will have to walk uphill behind the museum. It's a pleasant walk through some forest. After the last houses there is a steep path or alternatively a more road like one. Take the more road like natural path. The church was padlocked when we were there. There are benches everywhere in case you get tired.
There is a small local art gallery right next to the main square where you can buy the works of the local artists. Besides the paintings, which are not of great value, here you can find some cute souveniers.
In front of the gallery there were this two wooden statues, I was in particularly attracted by the look of the girafe.
The entire area of the Samobor hills which surround Samobor is covered with those beautiful vines that help us produce wine. You can see them in the valleys and there are many small wine producers that you can visit here.
You can find these beautiful sights as you drive only a short 30 minutes west of Zagreb. You can swing on a drive through the Samobor Hills, taste some of the local wine, drop into Samobor itself and sample the local specialty, Kremsnit, a very tasty cake that both Zoahra and Tal loved.....
Before the end of the prayer path you can already spot St. George's church. It dates back to 1743. You can actually drive up there by car. It's on the way to the castle ruins. It was also closed.
My host sent me out from home to kill the time so I really had lots of time also to explorer the smaller streets of this town. It was lovely.
This canal or water stream going through the town, I did not see anyone swimming there, I was wondering, how clean are those water there?
Few of the houses in this town are very beautiful and located in such a beautiful location. If you know any young beautiful lady that live in such house, please give her my contacts ;-)
