Favorite thing: You will probably love the fact that almost everybody speaks at least some basic English. If you aim younger people, you're very likely to get quality speakers who will anwser your questions without problems! No need to learn croatian :)

Fondest memory: Nikša and I were walking around Dolac Market to find some Licitar hearts I wanted to buy when I heard this whisper for the first time "Pssssst Chanel, Psssst Chanel". I looked around and here she was - an old lady hanging around the market like a drug dealer trying to sell a bottle of (fake) Chanel No. 5. I still can't look at this picture (the perfume dealer is the one in the blue coat) without laughing....

Favorite thing: I went to Croatia knowing nothing about the country or what to expect. "Where is Croatia, anyway?"
But i went there and i love it now!! The whole country has a lot great places to visit, great landmarks and Castles. But the very best about Croatia is the Croatian people. They are very warm and funny!!
Am i going to Croatia again? Sure i am, i wish i could stay there for a couple of years!!!
Fondest memory: Zagreb is the safest city i've been. You can walk in the middle of the night feeling incredibly safe!!
As i live in a desert region i find Zagreb's weather wonderful!!
But the thing I miss the most is going out for some beers with my friends to the pubs around main square and the places around Jarun!!

Fondest memory: Well, the pretty girl that I had fun with on the night bus from Zagreb to Dubrovnik !
It was fun ! The uncomfortable thing was other passengers were also curious about us !
I put her to sleep a few times, now that was not easy...on a moving bus !

Favorite thing: Just to walk around the City and see how it has picked itself up from what must have been a terrible time for its people.
Fondest memory: The friendlyness of its people, who showed a real pride in their city, and seemed genuinely happy that you had visited there.

Favorite thing: just a side note, i was amazed on how many people in Croatia spoke English. But like always, if you attempt to say "hi" and ask in native tongue if they spoke English, you get a lot further.
