I needed to grab a quick lunch before catching my afternoon train to Vienna, so I stopped at Green Point. This is a vegetarian fast food restaurant that serves take-away dishes including salads, veggie burgers and falafel. There's nowhere to sit but there are plenty of parks nearby, so you can eat your greens in the green. Prices are low and service is friendly, so if you need a quick meatless bite this might be your best option in Zagreb.
The food is vegan, macrobiotic and will astound you with a thing we like to call flavour.

Sorry, am not vegetarian and have never ever tasted that kind of food, however, if you need any useful information regarding vegetarian cuisine I recommend you to contact VTer "nykaenen"
I am vegetarian and therefore it was a blessing to discover Makronova on the first floor at Ilica 72. This is a healthfood shop with a small restaurant attached. The food is macrobiotic and vegan, with plenty of tofu and seitan and the local green chard called blitva. This type of wholefood might not be to all tastes but we loved it. The waiters were just about the friendliest people in Zagreb and we came back almost daily during our week-long stay in the city. Closed at the weekend. Prices might not be cheap by Zagreb standards but are affordable for a British traveller and certainly cheaper than London.
Macrobiotic vegan/vegetarian food.
