Personally, I don't like the trade-mark of Benetton because the styling is poor aswell as the fabrics are. Of course, this is my personal opinion, but to be more specific, since I am the professional in the clothing business I know what I am talking about.
What to buy: Anything you like and if so, don't pay atention on my opinion.
What to pay: anything you pay, you paid it too much

The almost unpronounceable Ozujsko seems to be the most popular beer, and it's name can be seen everywhere. It even sponsors the national football team. It's very good, and typical of beers across central Europe. The Slovenian beer Lasko also seems very popular in the city.
This place does loads of nice pastries, breads, cakes and hot food such as absolutely huge pizza slices all for really low places. Great for lunch or to grab a quick pastry or two for breakfast if you are in a rush.

Bajadera is a great chocolate I got to know already before visiting Croatia while meeting VT member diocletianvs in Cologne. Now, being in Croatia I could have as much as I wanted and of course, I bought few extra to have back at home with the delicious coffee.
At the airport duty free shop it’s of course the right time and place to buy the local national drinks. I was not so sure exactly what to buy but I got good tips from my local friends for the proper brands as seeing in this picture.
You can find almost anything you want here. Especially shoes. Every second store is a shoe store. And yet I always get surprised by how ugly shoes people wear in this town! Well well..
If you are somewhat obsessed with lipbalms, like me, I know the best place to go: Vartex, right at Trg Bana Jelacica, next to the Gradska Kavana. The lowest floor in this store is a paradise filled with all the lipbalms man has ever made! GREAT!
What to buy: Anything, shoes and lipbalms!
Just underground of hotel "Esplanade" is huge shopping mall "Importane". It is very good equipped with everything you need. A lot of shops, coffee bars, restaurants... can give you other dimension of shopping.
As I am smoker, I always need a cigarette. And I am always short of them. During my stays in hotel "Esplanade", one kiosk "saved" my life. It is open 24 hours a day and it is located just behind the hotel. They are selling newspapers and some more things, also.
The Dolac market really has it all, but the best time to come for fish is early in the morning. By the time, Niksa and I arrived at the fish market in the late morning, all that was left was the smell and a few random fish. It's a large enclosed building just off of the terrace where all the fruits and vegetables are sold.
