    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Cvjetni trg is in the central position of the town, just two minutes walking from the Trg Ban Josip Jelacic. The citizens of Zagreb like it very much and it is always crowded by the locals. What to buy: roses of all kinds,
    season flowers,
    folliages,

"Notorious" music shop is situated in the passage under the ugly skyscraper on the Trg Bana Jelacica.
Here you may find a very good selection of all kind of music, but especially the old rock n' roll editions like those from Stones, Animals, Fletwood Mac (with Green) etc. Don't miss it when in town.

    "Benetton": Young style

by croisbeauty Updated Dec 14, 2011

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Personally, I don't like the trade-mark of Benetton because the styling is poor aswell as the fabrics are. Of course, this is my personal opinion, but to be more specific, since I am the professional in the clothing business I know what I am talking about.

What to buy: Anything you like and if so, don't pay atention on my opinion.

What to pay: anything you pay, you paid it too much

    Beer

by antistar Updated Apr 4, 2011

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The almost unpronounceable Ozujsko seems to be the most popular beer, and it's name can be seen everywhere. It even sponsors the national football team. It's very good, and typical of beers across central Europe. The Slovenian beer Lasko also seems very popular in the city.

    Pan-Pek: Cheap Bakery

by monkeytrousers Written Jun 19, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This place does loads of nice pastries, breads, cakes and hot food such as absolutely huge pizza slices all for really low places. Great for lunch or to grab a quick pastry or two for breakfast if you are in a rush.

What to buy: The nicest pastry I had was the apricot flavoured croissant which was 4 KUNA if I remember correctly.

What to pay: 3-8 KUNA for a large pastry

At the airport duty free shop it’s of course the right time and place to buy the local national drinks. I was not so sure exactly what to buy but I got good tips from my local friends for the proper brands as seeing in this picture.

Come on, it's a big city?

by Emica Written Mar 6, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

You can find almost anything you want here. Especially shoes. Every second store is a shoe store. And yet I always get surprised by how ugly shoes people wear in this town! Well well..

If you are somewhat obsessed with lipbalms, like me, I know the best place to go: Vartex, right at Trg Bana Jelacica, next to the Gradska Kavana. The lowest floor in this store is a paradise filled with all the lipbalms man has ever made! GREAT!

What to buy: Anything, shoes and lipbalms!

As I am smoker, I always need a cigarette. And I am always short of them. During my stays in hotel "Esplanade", one kiosk "saved" my life. It is open 24 hours a day and it is located just behind the hotel. They are selling newspapers and some more things, also.

    Ribarnica (Dolac): Fish Market

by acemj Updated Mar 5, 2004

    4 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Dolac market really has it all, but the best time to come for fish is early in the morning. By the time, Niksa and I arrived at the fish market in the late morning, all that was left was the smell and a few random fish. It's a large enclosed building just off of the terrace where all the fruits and vegetables are sold.
