Jarun is Zagreb's sporting and recreational centre. Here you can rollerblade, cycle and walk along the tracks that surround around the lakes. You can also swim, row, sail, cable ski or even go fishing in the lakes.
They also have soccer, beach volleyball, table tennis and basketball courts there.
There are parks for kids to play and bars for the adults at night and day :-)

Skinny dipping in the Jarun Lake during the month of January is a particular experience. Your chestnuts will probably need a 2 week recovery period to function properly again....well some people say your nuts will for always stay in that condition. Try at your own risk, geeks.
Recommended to pure sadists.

Address: Jarun. It's big and wet. You can't miss it.
During the weekend, place is full of people who are enjoying in nice walking, driving a bike, rollerskating or just drinking coffee in bars..It's also possible to play handball on the sand. On the summer time people are swimming in the lake and sunbathing so this place is like Zagreb's beach.

Jarun is a lake in Zagreb and a very popular destination for everybody who lives in the capital. You can go there just for a walk, or you might fancy a swim, maybe try your roller skates, or rowing and sailing.

The lake is actually devided in several parts. There is a long rowing section where you're not allowed to swimm but there are two parts, smaller and larger section meant for enjoying the beach. There are also restaurants and pizza places where you can have something to eat or drink. Many chances for all kinds of sports too, walleyball in the sand, bowling, basketball, football...name it!
As I have mentioned few times, there are many Jarun pics on these pages...:-)

This is amazing water park and leisure place, you can run, skate, swim, suntan, sit in a caf? or restaurant or just enjoy walking around. It was beautiful to spend some time here with few VT members and get custom to the local coffee shops culture.

Never had seen snow before like me? well, Sljeme is the good choice. It's a hill which snowy at the top. Many people are going there for skiing or just enjoy the place. It's the biggest skiing centre in Croatia.
I'm living in tropical country so we only have summer and summer every year... :)
It was a such a great experiance to feel and touch the snow at the first time. It wasn't the same as I thought before. Now I know snow is more and less similar with fross in my refrigerator...hihi...I dunno.. I hope none would disagree with my opinion. :o))

.... or instead.... you can feed your camera with the natural beauties of Zagreb. Yes, Zagreb is widely known for its beautiful girls. They are tall, slim, atlethic look, very charming, very well dressed and curious to know new people. The wont reject you if you approach to them is the right one.

Walking around the lake could be an exceptional weekend recreation too. During the sunny days, in late autumn or winter, whole this area is crowded with the local people. Besides, there are many restaurants and cafes, especially on the northern side of the lake, where one can just seat and watching people passing by. Remember a fact, the girls from Zagreb are gorgeous.
