Jarun is Zagreb's sporting and recreational centre. Here you can rollerblade, cycle and walk along the tracks that surround around the lakes. You can also swim, row, sail, cable ski or even go fishing in the lakes.
They also have soccer, beach volleyball, table tennis and basketball courts there.

The Bana Jelacic Square is the centre of Zagreb. The square is a great place to start your walking tour around the city. Many of the historical buildings, popular sights and monuments are in this area. It is also a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike. The central statue in the square is of the 19th century governor ban Josip Jelacic. He is an important figure in Croatian history, his army suppressed a Hungarian rebellion in 1848. Leave a Comment

Quite possibly the shortest furnicular, or indeed any tracked transportation, in the world. Starting just off Ilica you can hitch a ride for 3kn up to the base of the Lotrscak Tower that guards the entrance to Gorni Grad, that is of course if you can’t be bothered to spend 30 seconds climbing the steps that run up the side of the tracks. Great for the lazy amongst us!
