Guess whos that ...? by Sharon We took a cruise from Ayia Napa to Famagusta distric. It was really nice, we had some stops on the way, we went to the pirates Cave and stopped in some places to have a swim in the clear cristal water and to jump from the top of the Boat... It was really nice and relaxing ! Leave a Comment

Depending on when you go, Ayia Napa's character changes to suit the mood. In the height of summer, temperatures are blisteringly hot, the clubs are open all night and the streets, beaches and bars are alive with revellers trying to cram in every hedonistic excess possible into their two week vacation. This changes at the end of the season (The last week in October). Things would be a lot more sedate. The temperature drops to a wonderful 20c to 24c. The beaches are nearly empty, the bars are quieter and only open to 4am (!) The clubs that had been charging £15 entry are now giving free admission and your first few drinks free. Part of the original character of the town starts to return and everyone is that bit more relaxed.
Long days on Nissi beach and equally long nights in the bars and clubs Leave a Comment

Macronossis Beach by cheekymarieh My favourite beach within the boundaries of Ayia Napa is Macronossis Beach. It is a little further from the main centre of the resort and as a result is a little less crowded than beaches such as Limanaki and Nissi Beach. The beach has a small snackbar and shop for refereshments when those that you brought with you get warm under the heat of the midday sun. There is also a range of watersports available.
My first visit to the beach was with my Cypriot friend. It was a peaceful spot after partying away most of the previous night (and much of the early hours of that morning). My first thought when I arrived was to boost my caffeine levels. Really I should have been out looking for a job but at the time that was the last thing on my mind. Thanks for introducing me to this beach my friend! It's one of the best things you could have done. Leave a Comment

the beaches in Ayia Napa are free, the sun beds and umbrellas are not :) (unless you are staying in an upscale hotel, where sun beds and umbrellas are included into the price of the package) to rent a sun bed or umbrella costs 1.25 CP (around $3). the tickets can be purchased either at the hotel, or on the beach (don't look for a guy, he will find you himself). not a burden if you are by yourself, quite a spending if you are a family of four vacationing for two weeks. if you want to save some money, bring a sun umbrella with you. as for sun beds, just put your beach towel down and enjoy laying on the sand free of charge :)

PARTIES by Stavris Ayia Napa is a 24 hr town where nearly all times of day and night it's similarly bussy. Their are 3 ways you can spend your holidays depending on what activities you want to do. --- If you want to do activities, see places or visit attractions then you better wake up early. Early is any time before 10am. You go somewhere during the day propably sleep for a while in the afternoon, go for dinner between 7-9pm and then whatever you like untill you go to bed around 1-2am. --- Cypriots if they go to Ayia Napa for holidays they wake up around midday, eat their breakfast/lunch which is normally watermelon with halloumi cheese and bread. Then they go to the beach usually untill late; back home and back to bed before they have something to eat. They wake up at about midnight and they go clubbing and then afterparty, propably go see the sunrise and finally back to bed. --- Party goers what they do, they usually wake-up in the afternoon they go to the beach after the have somethin for lunch. Usually they do some activities like water sports or beach games then back to their accomodation they have dinner at a restaurant or a fast food and then around 10-11pm go to the pub/bars and start drinking. They often go from one place to another untill around 1-2am where they go clubbing. Clubbing finnishes their are two ways to continoue the remaining 2-3 hrs of darkness; either have sex or find an afterhours club to continoue their drinking and partying. Leave a Comment
