Grabbarna Grus is infamous for its party atmosphere. It attracts mostly Scandinavian people as the concept is Swedish. It's an outside bar located in one of the barstreets. The theme is stone age with faux leopard-fur-pillows and cushions, "stone" tables and bar, and lots of plants. The toilets are horrible though. They have an amazing variety of drinks, with fun names and combinations, and they're actually the best ones I've tried in Ayia Napa. The sea breeze was refreshing (the drink that is). It is not sophisticated (is any place in Ayia Napa?) and there's a lot of drunk, silly people, but the atmosphere is unbeatable. They play lots of different Scandinavian hits (such as sing-along tunes, Melody Grand Prix songs, national anthems - embarrasing!) and of course International pop-hits. The place is always packed. Prices (on drinks) are a bit higher than average (I think) but they're worth it. The bar close quite early, but people carry off to other places afterwards so the party continues. Be aware of posters/photos/cd's/t-shirts etc. they have for sale because they may ask you to pay in advance blaming that it's not ready yet and tell you that they will mail it to you when you get home.. that won't happen!
