Agia Thekla has a great interior and its doors are open all day for free entrance and in order to take a look around and taking photos is no problem at all.
It was interesting for me to see that in many churches you will find icons partly covered by shawls like in my 3rd photo here.
Agia Thekla - in the west of Agia Napa
has 2 churches: one of them is a small white and blue church on a hill that you will see already from a large distance.
It is nice to have a look inside with some interesting icons and a great view from its terrace, but the main attraction of Agia Thekla is for sure the small natural chapel in a grotto closeby, read more about it in another tip below !
The grotto-church of Agia Theklais something that you might miss, except that you decide to take the steps in front of the church, taking you down to the impressive rocks on the coastline. You need to bow and crawl inside, but I think it was worth the trouble. This grotto-church is obviously still used by local people, because you find fresh
flowers there and candles burning.
