Sotira Restaurants

A great restaurant away from the beaten track. This was recommended by one of the waiters in our hotel (Grecian Park Hotel). The restaurant was in a court yard. The menu was written in English and Greek. The owner and staff were extremely friendly. The owner's mother was rolling cheese croquettes, whilst we were eating. There is no closing time; they close when the customers have finished eating and drinking.

Favorite Dish: Don't eat before you go. We all had the classic meze including a vegetarian option. We were all extremely full and the food kept coming. We drank two bottles of very good Cypriot red wine, Cypriot sherry and had coffees which came to approximately 45 Cypriot pounds. There is an extensive menu for other starters and main courses if you didn't fancy the meze.

If you are getting married in Cyprus and are looking for a place for your reception then this is the place to book. Costas and his family made our wedding day just perfect. We ordered the meze, we have never seen so much food, Costas arranged some live music, and we were all looked after very well. The whole evening was fantastic, and compared with the prices of hotel receptions it was excellent value.

The following week the remaining six of the wedding party went for a meal, again a fabulous night of super food, wine and entertainment. mixing with the locals.

Favorite Dish: the meze is great but the the smaller eaters the beef stifado and the vine leaves are excellent
