Drive up to Skarinou

by greekcypriot

THE VILLAGE OF SKARINOU IN THE LARNACA DISTRICTSKARINOU which dates back to the Medieval times is considered to have a privileged position on a hill with a panoramic view only 15 minutes from Larnaca. Its lush vegetation is mainly of olive and carob trees that surround the village.A few minutes from Larnaca and you come to this village. Take a walk and visit the Agro Tourist complex - very old houses that keep their old style and ask to see them. You will probably love to spend a day or two here. The people of the village are more friendly and you can have a walk in the village. It is not very big but it is interesting for sure. The village itself is very near many popular attractions like the Monastery of Stavrovouni, the Camel Park, and the Neolithic Settlement of Choirokitia dated back to 6.800 B.C.

by greekcypriot

A DAY EXCURSIONI highly recommend this excursion especially if there are children in the family.Of course it is not an excursion only for children because adults can surely have fun out here too. You will see donkeys, have a ride along the shadowy olive and orange alleys, pick fresh fruit from the nearby plantation.Hire a bicycle and explore the flora and fauna with your children. After the excursion the donkey farm gives you the opportunity to dine at its premises if you feel like it. The programme is great. You can enjoy dinner out with Traditional Greek dancing, and Cypriot-like entertainment.(I suggest that you call before you go).Entrance fee is 5 euros. Dinner costs 10 euros. However a cmplete package that includes transfer, donkey riding, a guide, and dinner with unlimited wine plus a tour in the park costs a bit more and it comes to 65 euro but you will surely have an unforgettable...
