  • Limanaki: An absolute Gem

by rogeratnottingham Written Aug 17, 2010

This is a little gem of a restaurant. We were staying with friends and they took us to Limanaki where we all shared a meze. The food was just fantastic with explanations given for each dish by very enthusiastic and attentive front of house staff. The restaurant itself is very well thought out and has air-conditioning inside which is a must on the very hot nights or tables outside if you wish. Decor is to a very high standard, as is everything about this restaurant. The owner Sam came and introduced himself and he was very friendly and came over so passionate about his food and restaurant. We looked on the website and noted that he also gives cooking lessons and gives the proceeds to charity. Food on the menu is varied and introduces a fusion of styles to the dishes. Do check out the website (www.limanakipissouri.com) and if you are in the Pissouri area I can highly recommend it. If you fancy the Meze do note that you would have to ring up the day before but you will not be disappointed, just make sure you are very hungry as the dishes keep coming! Wow!

Favorite Dish: Meze was lots of different flavours and courses, wish I could go back and try the whole menu.

    Moonlight Tavern: Local Taverna

    by percy961 Updated May 21, 2006

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

As its name implies, it has an excellent view of the rising moon at the right time of the month. A traditional taverna menu, very good food and good service - their huge pork chops are excellent and the best in Pissouri. Run by Marios, for his day job he is a goat farmer, and Antonious, who with his wife owns the cake shop. In the winter eat inside, in the summer outside under the moon and the stars. To find it, walk out of the village square, past the Hideaway and the two pubs, carry straight on, onto the road, turn right, and it is on your right. One not to miss
