Protaras / Pernera

by cheekymarieh

The night life is more relaxed here. It is more orienatated to couples and those with families. There are numerous bars and restaurants to chose from.My two recommended bars in the Pernera area would be:Knights Pub - if you want something lively (they also serve good food)Nautilus Inn - if you want something more relaxedAs for bars in the main part of Protaras, you should give the following a try:The Greenery (usually have a happy hour for cocktails ... try Protaras By Night)Fools and Horses (as the name suggests another theme bar based on the TV show)For restaurants in Pernera you can't go far wrong at:Kartanas Restaurant - good chicken dishes and also the meze is worth tryingSteak And Ale House - which as its name implies specialises in steak though the chicken dishes are equally as good. And further down in Protaras it is worth trying:Anatolia on the main road - if you can eat all of...

Ayia Napa: Ayia Napa

by cheekymarieh

If you want nightlife this is the place to go. You can start the night off at 8pm and party on until 8am the next morning. The resort has being marketed as the next Ibiza with clubs increasing their prices according to the DJ on show.Clubs range from house and garage music to original 70's disco style. You will often find people dancing on the bars - though it is very rare that the average Cypriot will be up there with you (even when it is them that drags you up in the first place!!!)My Recommended Bars:Trotters (so called because of Only Fools & Horses)The Organ Grinder (where you can sit and watch the action in the Main Square)Bedrock (a themed Flinstone bar noted for its karaoke)As for clubs, well I would head for Carwash for its seventies and eighties music (is that a sign of my age!), and River Reggae (an outdoors venue perfect in summer) Anything goes in Ayia Napa - from short...

Car Wash: Nightclubs

by vichatherly

Now I'm not really into night clubs but this place turned out to be a laughPlenty of "hands in the air" and "ladies on the bar" to the tunes of days gone by.Some of the lads even knew all the words to the Boney M songs, which was slightly worrying. Casual. Although with the ladies, it was wear as little as possible, which is not always a bad thing!

If U like R&B music I know where to go, we partied a lot in Black and White club. Also the others in the area are great one.The staff was friendly and you felt yourself home usual club clothing, but it quite openminded. NOrmally people are there on summertime, but I don´t regomment a shorts etc.

by ThornGal

Ayia Napa is a unique place. It is filled with clubs and bars. My favourite clubs are Pzazz and Black and White. After clubs go to Reggae River to chill and lie down by the pool.If you enjoy the nightlife, then you absolutely have to visit Ayia Napa in Cyprus. It's the capital of uk garage, famour djs and mcs go there during summer to entertain the public. Anything from skimpy to classy. Cypriots like to dress smart, and some clubs have a dress code. Not many clubs care about dress codes during summer, because it's too hot to wear smart clothes

by dreamworld

Ayia Napa is the most touristic city in south-eastern corner of the island. At night, pubs, clubs and discos are numerous. Great atmosphere but lots of noise and 'drunk' people.Protaras seems more quiet. And Paphos, the 3rd largest resort area is dedicated to older people.

Bubbles, rainbow, media, california, CrocodileBubbles Boys! although they aren't actually nice blokes they good for a laugh! The music in Rainbow and Media is the best thing about it, UK garage at its finest!(only after 3AM in Rainbow is it good) Whatever you want, smart casual really - Hacket t-shirts for blokes are v.popular!
